Week 2 CFB Predictions

clowney1_rounded_corners.jpg

Well, I'm off to a late start on this one...but I'm going to start to do a pick 'em every week. I'll pick a few primetime games and give you guys my predicted score. Feel free to use them with your bookie, but I am not responsible for any money you may (will) lose when using my picks.

#12 Florida @ Miami (FL)

This will be one heck of a 12 o'clock game. Florida's offensive production was pretty lacking last week against Toledo, and Miami is not a shabby team. Home field advantage in this game won't exactly make a difference as you can see in this photo what an average game at Sun Life Stadium is like. This will be more of a home game for the Gators than it will be for the Hurricanes, and SEC talent will prevail once again over the ACC as the Gators win a close one.

Prediction: Florida W 28-24

#14 Notre Dame @ #17 Michigan

This game seems like it's a bit earlier this year for some reason. It's hard to get a good read on either team as they both played pretty sorry opponents last week, but from what I did see, Notre Dame struggled on offense just a bit against Temple. Michigan, on the other hand, flat out rolled over Central Michigan as they scored 59 points against the Chippewas. Michigan's offense will be too overpowering for Notre Dame, as the Wolverines pull through in the fourth quarter.

Prediction: Michigan W 34-21

Washington State @ #25 USC

Oh man, Lane Kiffin could be in the doghouse after this one. Washington State has a pretty good team with a VERY good offense. If their QB Connor Halliday can get his accuracy in check, this will the upset of the week. Expect a very high scoring game in this one with the Cougars finally coming into their own to win this high-scoring game.

Prediction: Washington State W 45-41

  #6 South Carolina @ #11 UGA

The sweetest moment of week one was watching all the hype surrounding the Bulldwags (misspell on purpose) go straight down the drain with that loss to Clemson.  Well, it was fun while it lasted, because they will win this one against South Carolina...let me tell you why. This one is in Athens, which in the SEC will make a huge difference. UGA's offense will certainly put that South Carolina defense to the test, and I'll say it right now....Jadeveon Clowney is the most overrated player in the NCAA. Clowney, throughout the entire UNC game, looked winded, physically sick, and plain and simple...human. Apparently he had a stomach bug last week, so it'll be interesting to see how he is this week back at 100%, but for now, I expect the puppies to win in another high scoring game.

Prediction: UGA W 41-35
