Week 5 CFB Predictions

Finally! More than one good game this week! Perfect timing, because we can all sit back, relax, and enjoy some college football mayhem on a bye week. I went a solid 4-1 last week, which brings my total to 7-2 on the year. I really hope you haven't been taking my predictions to Vegas....

#21 Ole Miss @ #1 Alabama

Ah, Nick Saban's favorite. Hugh Freeze and his HUNH offense will be taking a trip to Turd-town for this one, as the Rebels will try to shock the nation by knocking off the Tide. The spread for this one opened up at a shockingly high 17 points in Alabama's favor, but that margin quickly lowered to 14.5 after a few Mississippians placed their bets. Ole Miss is certainly capable of winning this game...too bad they won't. I don't care how atrocious Bama's offense has looked thus far...this is Ole Miss we're talking about, and Ole Miss just doesn't beat Alabama. The Rebels might keep it close for a half.

Prediction: Alabama W 38-24

#14 Oklahoma @ #22 Notre Dame

Um....I mean, I guess I can try to talk about this game. I honestly don't have the slightest idea of what to expect in this game, and I probably won't even watch it. Well, I know that I was kinda pulling for Bob Stoops as head coach in the off-season, and I can't stand Notre Dame after the National Championship, so....Boomer Sooner!

Prediction: Oklahoma W 23-16

  #10 Texas A&M @ Arkansas

Coincidence that the two biggest cry babies of the off-season, Nick Saban and Bret Bielema, are both playing high-octane offenses in the same week? Nope. Is there any doubt that Manziel and the Aggies will win this one....obviously not to Floyd "Money" Mayweather, as he put down $300,000 on Texas A&M this weekend. Aggies win big, and Bret Beliema loses his mind (and some weight) with all of the offense on Saturday.

Prediction: 49-28

#23 Wisconsin @ #4 Ohio State

Is Braxton Miller playing? Yes? No? Maybe? Eh, it won't matter. Ohio State asserts their dominance in this one, and after this week (and after playing a decent opponent), will move up ahead of Clemson in the AP poll to the #3 spot.

Prediction: Ohio State W 42-31

#6 LSU @ #9 UGA

Sitting in the top of Tiger Stadium last week, I realized something....I was watching the 2013 BCS National Champions go to work. Yep, mark it down....LSU will go undefeated for the rest of the year and win the (last) BCS Championship. I really hope I don't eat my own words.

Sure, offense is good, but LSU has the complete package. Offensive, defense, special name it! Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. will rip this young and raw Georgia secondary apart, and man...what a pretty sight it will be. Zach Mettenberger's Heisman run starts on Saturday, as the Bayou Bengals win a close game.

Prediction: LSU W 30-27
